Catchy name that Will. I normally refer to my computers as 'rigs'. I don't know why though. My main pc at the moment is called 'X180', the one before that 'Dragon1', before that 'Old purple sides'

I sometimes refer to mine as a rig, mainly due to Folding@Home as Stan's already said - but also since it's a CM Stacker you could bolt 18 wheels on it (well actually it already has 4 fitted so part of the way there already) and fill it up with goods for long distance transportation
As for giving it a name - nope not on your life, I believe the first time I referred to my computer as a female my missus would probably throw me out of the house This machine is currently called X2-3800 derived from the latin for "now getting pwned by Core2Duo's everywhere" |

Always referred to my own machines as rigs, cant remember where that came from. All my machines are named after the core of the chip that's in them. I've had/have Barton, Toledo, Northwood, Yonah, Dempsey, Woodcrest (soon) and Dothan.

She outperforms a dual Xeon system and a 64bit 4000+ system though, which is odd :/ Glad to see other people using the term 'rig' as well

For me a "Rig" is a parachute system! So I can never use it for a PC I'm afraid.
The Dual Xeon should easily outperform the Barton though
