The Grudge freaked me out too, it's that damn noise she makes! First film to make me genuinely jumpy for a long time, and it wasn't even that good

Hmm I might have to see it - I haven't seen a scary movie in a very very long time.

Me, Piggy and Roberta never got to the end of the Grudge
Only film I've seen that has truly freaked me out.

I was looking forward to seeing this film, But i think i'll give it a miss now!!

Iain and i watched Saw late one night,It freaked me out so much that i made him come upstairs and guard the bathroom while i went to the loo.
I was pregnant with Georgie at the time so i blamed it on hormones lol!!!

I still need to see Saw, really want to see it Gore doesn't tend to freak me out too much.
Just something about the Grudge that meant I still thought of it months later when getting up in the night

Saw is good and it didn't stop me watching Saw 2 and Iain and i want to see Saw 3.

Better not watch the original of Grudge it's worse i've been told.

My Brothers are into japanese films and i watched Ring with them and i was so scared i almost cried!!

The American version is the one for me it's not scary!!

I jump at the most stupid things Mic always laughs at me

I blame having an over-active imagination - in the flat, the bedroom and living room were upstairs and the bathroom and kitchen were down. Can't remember what the film as but I remember getting to the top of the stairs and then calling Mic and making him go down first and turn on all the lights before I could go down to the bathroom (think it was either the grudge or the ring)

Two Sam must-haves for watching horror/jumpy/scary movies - a hand to hang onto and either a cushion or a shoulder to hide face behind but peer over the top so as to not miss anything

Saw is a really good film. It lures you into dismissing it as a decidedly mediocre affair, until the last half hour, when it just proves to you that it isnt, and that it's taken you for a ride. Helps if you know nothing about it though, else the twist wont work so well.

Saw II was much more of a gore fest, and after Hostel I imagine Saw III is worse still.
