12 Angry Men counts as one of the best films I've ever watched, not the most exciting premise admittedly but the acting is first-rate.

The Hustler is also pretty good, a young Paul Newman as 'Fast Eddie' Felsen in an eminently watchable film.

The Magnificant Seven. My Dad made me watch it some time ago and it is awesome. Watched a lot of John Wayne for the same reason, there are some good films in there.
I much prefer 80s movies tho, that was a great decade of films.

I also love The Wicked Lady, a 1945 film about a bored rich woman who becomes a highwaywoman just for the lulz. There's lots of overacting, swooning and heaving bosoms. Excellent stuff.

One of the best films ever made in my opinion.

And while it's not quite 30 years old yet, one of my all time favorite films is The Fox and the Hound.
