Looking for a 4-port KVM switch
4 of my Folding rigs upstairs only have 1 monitor, keyboard and mouse between them. Most of the time this isn't a problem because that's all they do but, occasionally, they need tinkering with and it's a pita moving cables etc.
I have a 2-port KVM for 2 of the others and would like a 4-port for this 4. Some of the ones I have found are not as cheap as I would have hoped and pretty much all of the ones on Ebay look suspiciously cheap (maybe just me being paranoid). Can anyone suggest a reliable model at a reasonable price? Audio would be handy but not essential. It can be USB or PS/2 - I have adaptors. Stan

I always used VNC to look after my farm (when I had one). Much less hassle than a KVM.

I just bought a Belkin one from ebay, it came with all the cables and is doing a pretty good job too. I think I paid £21 with p&p.

Oooh, Sam. We send about 20 pallets of computer kit a week to them! Those switches can't be from us though, for some reason ours never come with the psu (which is why I haven't piped up in this thread!).

I'd go with VNC too for a quick and easy option

I used to use VNC until I discovered a rootkit installed on my webserver which bypassed the VNC password authentication
