In mine its the CD drive that makes most of the noise and water cooling isn't going to help that :/

Yeah the drive on mine is quite loud, haven't they just released a new 360 with a quieter drive?

One thing I'll note is that we never saw anything beyond lots of fancy lights. There was no ring of death though so I guess everything was good.

I'll join in with the why comments too, but then I suspect the answer, as with watercooling PCs to some extent, is 'because you can'.

It does seem a bit pointless, but with my 360 the DVD doesn't seem that loud, it's the fans that make the most noise.

So for me this would be great, not that I'd have the guts to try it.
