I thought 720p was supposed to be better as it was progressive, and is more suitable for fast moving stuff.

If it looks better though then stick with it I guess.

Well I'll give it a whirl at the weekend for a thorough check, but I've not noticed any problems at 1080i so far.

I was a little wrong Davey - the resolution setting in TVersity should be set to whatever resolution the screen is at. That setting is used to set a cap is all, ie, anything over that will be shrunk to the lower resolution, but anything smaller (like my TV shows) will be left untouched.

I'd have gone down and sold both. Wouldn't be the first time I've overnighted on the streets of London either.

Aye, I saw that, but nothing I watch is (so far) over the sizes I put in so I'm in no rush to change it, I'll sort it next time I need to fiddle with the settings

First time was a WWE wrestling event at the now demolished Wembley Conference Centre that overran slightly, so I missed the last train home and ended up wandering around London trying to find an open railway station or a way to get back to Paddington.

Second time was a BD mini-meet.

Another person turned

Newsgroups ARE the way forward, once you've worked it all out its easy

Daz Easynews is good, but the http newsgroups are much much better and have higher retention (because of less overheads) than their nttp varients...

I was with newshosting who are awesome (cheaper than giga which are generally totally over the top for what anyone needs), but i've switched to easynews (thanks desmo ) because i've been behind my dammed uni firewall i've needed a decent http newsgroup the only one of which is easynews.

But a newsgroup is crap without the wonderfull Newzbin

MB has covered it all so i'm just agreeing but i feel i have to because it is all so so worth it!

I've managed to max out our university pipe with easynews servers (well i assumed maxed out, i hit 6.something megabytes per second, which isn't bad )
