Having said that, I agree with the above, apart from missing out Tom, they did extremely well considering the constraints regarding the length of film etc.

I have the extended versions of all three and have twice done marathon sessions watching them one after the other

After hearing that it was on on Sunday I decided to give the trilogy the yearly watch. I *was* tempted to wait for the true HD release before going back to them but I had nothing else to do. I was really quite surprised just how nice the picture quality was on my 360 with my HDTV. Really crisp. Anyway, Two Towers tonight and Return of el Kingo tomorrow. I may have read one of the books as a kid, its been a while, so I just enjoy the films as they are.
