Default DS Lite

After my mum's recent scare, she's after things to keep her brain active. She mentioned she'd briefly used someone else's DS Lite + Brain Training.

So, for christmas (or sooner), I'd like to get her a DS Lite + Brain Training + More Brain Training.

If anyone spots/knows about any good deals - retail, eBay, whatever, then please bear me in mind.

If anyone knows of any more games of the same ilk then I'd be interested in those as well.

And finally, I've never used or even held a DS Lite, so don't know what to look for - any pointers appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

How technologically literate is your mum?

Not very. She uses PCs all day at work but rarely uses the one at home. I'm not sure if that's being scared of breaking it, not willing to experiment, or just because Dad uses it too much, or more likely all three.

I'm hoping a DS Lite will be easy enough to get on with but wouldn't want to push it much further.

If she can use a PC then I'd suspect she'd manage with a DS Lite. My mum has used a PC since I bought her one about 5 years ago and she got on great with my DS Lite when she was in hospital last year.

I don't know anywhere doing deals on them but I can have a look for you when I go to NYC in early December if you want.

The only reason I was asking about your mum was regarding using a supercard and sticking all the games on one card for her that way she wouldn't have to worry about swapping them of anything.

I'll keep an eye out for deals for you though.

I'd rather keep it simple and legal with them tbh. If stuff goes wrong it'll be a trip to Essex for me to fix it.

Checked in Game today. They have DS Lite + Brain Training for £109.99 (well, I didn't see the .99, but I'm sure it's there ), and More Brain Training for £19.99 (same deal with the .99).

So, starter for 10 - £129.98. Can't afford until mid-October anyway so offers are still requested.

I have both those games - I'm hooked!

Down to 22 now - I *knew* I felt more immature recently

It isn't for me, so I wouldn't know. Whether I get a sneaky go is another question, though I won't open it in advance.
