Doctor Who - The Girl in the Fireplace
OK, so it's an old episode, number four from David Tennant's first series but I watched this again last night and I still think it's my favourite of all the 'new' ones.
It features the gorgeous Sophia Myles as Reinette Poisson (otherwise known as Madame de Pompadour) and has everything in it, it has comedy, it has a bit of romance, we see a side to The Doctor that we've never seen before and it has such a sad ending that I was blubbing! Superbly acted by everyone involved, it's a rollercoaster of emotions. And a horse called Arthur. It's a couple of years old now but well worth a watch. Or a re-watch.

It is a very good episode - probably one of the best from that season

This is one of the few Doctor Who episodes I've seen. I thought it was quite good. Perhaps I should look to get some of Tennant's Who series on DVD.

Its also my fave too. That and the other ep written by Steven Moffat in last season, Blink. I loved that it wasn't "for kids". It was romantic, funny, heroic and cleverly done.

I normally watch Dr Who episodes twice but any more than that and I get bored within 5 minutes. Have seen The Girl in the Fireplace 5 times and really enjoyed it each time.

I have most of the Dr. Who episodes recorded. I'll try and find it.
Edit - found. It was broadcast on 6th May 2005. 1.5GB Freeview TS. Can probably compress it overnight and upload tomorrow. Someone else may be able to get there quicker. Last edited by Mark; 01-10-2007 at 18:56. |

Does that mean you found it quicker, or you want it?
Just asking because I don't know who has what. |
