Aye - I did say it wasn't just with the forum. Had trouble with sites like Wikipedia too.

What are your ping times like?

WinMTR will help (or MTR if you're using *nix) as you can leave that running a while.

Well i am happy with my speeds since dropping from 20 to 4. I haven't noticed a difference in gaming & am still one of the first on a 64 man BF2 map. RFactor plays as well as it has always done & browsing is still speedy.
I'm glad i switched down

What was your reason for switching, malc? I assume you're on cable?

^^ My last bill had less discount & was 45 quid instead of 35.I just thought to myself **** i used to play on loads less & do well so why am i paying for more than i needed. I rang them and asked about deals & they offered me 4 meg a Large TV ppackage & my house phone for just over 20 quid. I told them i would think about it. Anyway after a week i though sod it I'm switching down & rang them again. I said "I want to switch down from 20 to 4" The bloke said you already did mate a week ago
I had played BF2 & RFactor during that week thinking i was on 20. Like i said there is no difference in gaming or browsing & that was a proper field test even if i didn't ask for it

All sounds fair to me, I guess that it's noticeable when downloading shedloads but just not for normal use.

Good call
