OOOOOW sounds good... I was volunteering in chester digging around in the Park and found an 17th Century medieval cellar... and also in the amiptheatre we found an iron age settlement which means that Chester is no longer really a roman town... rained for a few days both times but I have fun... I work right next to Cheshire Archeology department, so I have seen a tonne of interesting stuff

i lub archaeology, i was digging in York this summer really enjoyed myself. Saw the amphitheater in Chester during the meet, was very impressed. Doesn't matter if it rains a little, means that features become visable. As long as it stops after a little while
Looking forward to the Crannog centre have always wanted to go see it. Will take lots of pictures

me too me too... archaeology rocks Yes the amphitheater is really cool, biggest in the UK, I think its one of the biggest in europe was cool digging in it, and I couldnt believe that it had an ironage settlement right in the middle of it, shocking... yes please take lots of piccies, look forward to seeing them

Been to York, was actually reading a book about the defences around York, not as big a fortress as chester but still impressive, where did you dig? I have always wanted to dig there, but live too far away!

I was on a training dig on the Hungate site Dig Hungate
Was my first ever dig and i could not have chosen a better place to learn my trade. Largest dig York has seen for 25 years, right in the middle of York town centre. I would totally recommend it, even to experienced archaeologists.

My dad is coming to mine for his birthday and we're off out somewhere (I forget where) on Saturday. Sunday I have to teach the local Tae Kwon-do senior class which means lots of shouting, lots of bowing and more shouting interspersed with periods of shouting and ending in more bowing
