Bored.
I am currently protecting the scene of an alleged sexual assault. I have cordoned off the scene with tape and now the exciting side of policing kicks in ..... waiting. I will be here until at least 7am.
This week has been a run of 4 nightshifts which have been very busy and also trying. Monday night I went to a sudden death where an elderley man appeared to have a heart attack which involved a trip to the mortuary. Tuesday a man in his twenties die of what looks to be a heroin overdose He was found in the bathroom with a syringe next to him. That involved another trip to the mortuary for a handover to the porter there. Wednesday saw a fatal RTC which cost an elderly female her life. Tonight saw the most obnoxious 15 year old female brought in that I have ever seen. She said to me that she hoped I would top myself and that was after she hoped the arresting officer died and she would piss on his grave. I merely smiled and bid her bon soir. This was followed by a family dispute that went tits up. They were all yelling in the street as were the pissed off neighbours ..... I out decibelled them all. " GET IN YOUR OWN GAFFS RIGHT NOW OR YOU'RE ALL LOCKED UP " It worked ..... I felt like Judge Dredd. Still had to do half a tree in paperwork though. Weekend off coming up ..... o/

We've got 3 in, stroppy and straight to cells (and 9 others). One's pissed himself and is on 15 minute rousal checks. I've got through 15 pairs of gloves already. He took his trousers off earlier and his meat and 2 veg were hanging out the bottom of his pants, I've protected his modesty with a blanket.
He's sobering up and you can see the horrible dawning realisation where he is and what he's done.

Just as some of you are going to bed I was making myself breakfast! Isn't it funny how different our lives all are?
