Vista help please.
My son's new laptop came with Vista Home Premium (yuk). As such, it no longer has the original Sound Recorder program that previous editions of Windows had. It does have a sound recorder, but it lost the capability to record .wav files, which is the preferred format for editing sound files.
Any idea what kind of software or modifications are required for this to be enabled?

No idea about the built in one but I can recommend some software that should do it:

I'll second that software. Sound Recorder is (in my humble view) a pile of ****, so it's no loss to Vista.
