Was it the galloping gormet that this is a newer version of? I never saw the gormet show but remember the concept.

I can tell everyone now... I did apply and had an interview last Tuesday followed by a screen test on Friday. They've been umm'ing and ahh'ing about it all bloody week and finally rang me up tonight to tell me I didn't make it. Nevermind

I'm not honestly that bothered. It wasn't the being on TV bit that attracted me, it was getting the chance to cook and interact with a bit of an idol of mine. I got an email today saying I could apply to be in the audience, but it's just too late notice to make it down there now. Bit peeved that they left it so long, but that's media... apparently
