Upgrade time of year again for the old mobile
Evening
Its that time of year again, i've started getting annoying phone calls asking if i know when my contract is up, and just spoken to orange to confirm that i can upgrade now. Trouble it they hung up on me about 5 times whilst i was in a 'queue' waiting to speak to someone. Then they offer me crap deals on upgrade phones despite the fact they've been making £40 a month off me for the past 18 months and all they were giving me is 200mins! I'm just wondering first of all... whats 'the' phone of the moment.. one thats a bit future proof. I like the HTC TII thing, but its pretty big. I like the N73 but it was out when i got my k800i 18 months ago. And i like the N95, but orange want £90 for just the phone(!) before i even sort out a new price plan. Also, I've always been with orange since my first contract mobile through dial-a-phone many years back (hense my crap, overpriced call plan). But how easy is it to switch networks... I don't really want to have to pay for two phones for a month, I'd like to keep my number, and i'd like to not be without a phone... yes i'm very demanding. Because i'm sure there are better deals from other networks. Any advice would be appreciated |

Find a deal you like with someone else and then give Retentions a chance to beat it. If they don't, get your PAC and off you go.

Most phone companies can offer different deals depending on if it's online, in store or over the phone.
For retentions though, afaik it's all through the phone.

Starting to wish I'd waited a few months and got that version. I'm liking the layout of that a lot. Oh well, only 10 months to go.
