Default Get outside and look up

Its a lovely clear night, not seen a night as clear for a long time. I don't have a telescope but I am just looking at the various stars that can be seen tonight.

It's really overcast here Fortunately I get to see the most beautiful sunrises though when I arrive at work each morning

I can't see stars - just street lights

Certainly was. Even I could see loads unaided last night.

Hope it's like that again tonight as I might go ISS hunting if it is.

This should help looking for the ISS:

http://www.heavens-above.com/PassSum...&alt=39&tz=GMT

My Dad says roughly translates to:

Tonight:

Directly overhead East-West at 17:23
again at 18:58 West to South and lower down.

Tues:

Overhead, West-East at 17:43

Wednesday:

West-SouthEast about half-way up at 18:04

Won't be able to look tonight, but hopefully tomorrow

Seen it \o/

Saw a few things moving but they were flashing, then I saw this dot near the moon and it was much brighter than anything else nearby (except the moon obviously), not flashing, but noticeably moving. Disappeared over the top of a neighbours house, presumably as it went into eclipse, which is when I knew I'd seen it.

Woo saw it twice tonight. We didn't realise what it was the first time, but when we saw it just now we realised we had seen it earlier too
