OK, gave this a go tonight and it turned out raaather delicious! I've been at the red so I don't know how well this is going to go...

First off I put the potatoes in boiling salted water and left them to simmer. While they were cooking I attacked the meat. I couldn't find streaky slices so went with tenderloin:

I sliced it into pieces around half an inch thick and as I couldn't get chili infused oil, mixed some regular olive oil with both lazy chilis and lazy garlic and let the meat marinade for about half an hour:

I chose carrot, cabbage and leek as my veg and got them chopped and out of the way so I could concentrate on the other bits:

When the potatoes were almost done I transferred them to a tray of heated oil mixed with the hot paprika and basted them. Left them for twenty minutes on 190. Ten minutes in, I dropped the carrots in a pan of water, and heated a little oil in a wok and started pan-frying the meat:

Immediately after the meat was done I threw the cabbage and leek in the wok and used the juice to stir-fry it:

I stacked the meat in layers to make a kind of tower and threw the stir-fried veg over the top. Carrots and potatoes went on the side:

I then quickly made up some Bisto (sue me!) and mixed in a little red wine:

Et voila!

I have asked for posts 24-29 (but not 25) be moved into a new thread titled "Vegetarianism - the debate" or something like that. I am hoping there will be an admin about soon to do this.
As long as people don't aim to just insult one another for their dietary choices, I think it could be an interesting thread.

I was just about to do the same. Sorry for derailing your thread

As for the food aspect. I love streaky pork but I usually just grill it and have it with boiled tatties and a tin of processed peas (I usually pour the fat from the pork over the tatties as it tastes yummy - I know, heart attack on a plate ).
I think I could do something with those ingredients. Maybe parboil the tatties and fry them in the fat from the pork along with some onions, garlic and paprika and stir fry the veggies in the chili oil. I don't get back home for a couple of weeks but I'll give it a go then.
