Flibster, cant you do something like put some barely-diluted washing up liquid into a misting bottle and spray that up and down the wooden floor how that the aerosol-delivered oil will have settled? That in conjunction with a mop might at least make you able to walk around the flat a bit easier!

Either that or call in Red Adair.

Got to clean everything else before we can start on the floor. Too much crap around the flat.

Oh and the TV is shafted, XBMC is shafted
Havent tried the dvd player, hdd recorder, amp or wii yet...
