Default **The Critter Pics Thread**

A thread for people who like to hunt down critters and take pictures of them doing something critterish and then post the critters and their critterish behaviour.

Doesn't have to be wildlife photographer of the year, as you shall see from my blurry efforts...

One of our more regular visitors...

Had a sniff at our home grown shrooms but thought better of it.

And we have a crafty magpie who has figured out how to jump up at the feeder balls for the smaller birds.

I have a little video too but I filmed it with the camera on the side.
Anyone have an uberuserfriendly Mac with an uberuserfriendly 'rotate Quicktime movie 90degrees' button. It makes me want to do my Attenborough impression over the top of it.

Lol Kitten, those Prairie Marmots were the most photographed thing in the entire zoo when I went there with TP - everyone just descended on them and sort of engulfed them in a ring of L glass Comical to watch

Meerkats!
Did anyone else watch Meerkat Manor as religiously as I did?
Forget Cadbury's, Shakespeare is the original miniature hero.

A little humpback whale montage from Hervey Bay in Queensland.

This maneuvre is called breaching and is either a way of attracting attention from other whales, removing barnacles or is just done for kicks. The whale is called Mother Theresa.
These were taken on my old compact APS hence the less than impressive zoom and image stabilisation (I almost went over the handrail taking these).
