Thanks for all your messages, my advice is, if it really hurts go to A&E don't put a brave face on it go.

Glad your home MB and you only need 2 different antibiotics to nuke it

Word of advice though from my own experience don't even think about work for a week until the pills have done the job. Sitting at a desk/working with this kind of issue makes you feel worse especially pain and fever wise. Thats if they haven't advised you this way already but if they haven't stay off work until it clears up then take it easy when you do go back.

It took 2 weeks for me to get back to work, as went back after getting out of hospital after a week there and i was home by midmorning the first day back. It isn't worth making it worse by rushing back believe me.

Its not too gross but you can see the ring the doctor drew yesterday and said 'if it goes outside that ring you'd better come back ASAP' :/

That's horrible MB - I really hope it clears up soon and doesn't cause any long lasting problems.

I'll phone the doctor at 12 as thats when he comes on shift and he said he would see me rather than make me wait, hes a the Senior A&E and Clinical Decisions Doc so he'll be able to refer me if need be, if I go now I'll be in the A&E queue

Looks like they've already tried that But damn that don't look good Hopefully its one of those things that gets a little worse before getting better. Mine lasted a few days to a week. So sore to touch and the infection thing felt like flu.
