You're spot on MB - couldn't agree with you more.
It takes a lot of hard work to build muscle - something I'm realising!

The problem with body building is that it can become a little like the situation some women get into with body shape etc. We look at examples that are effectively unachieveable and set them as our benchmarks and then feel bad when we don't achieve them. The prime examples in body building only stay 'ripped' for a few days around cutting and then go back to a happy medium or bulk again, and many of the best bodies out there (even the ones on actors) are chemically assisted or touched in using photoshop style packages. I'm not saying people shouldn't try but there are limit to what can be achieved naturally. MB |

My muscles seem to build on me really quickly - which makes me feel quite manly
Sometimes I wonder whether I had a willy before and it fell off or something. I think I have quite a good routine at the moment though as I am not bulking up as such and everythings wibberling a little less! Hoorah! And Sinead - I was serious this morning! *snog back atcha* |

I'm not too bothered about the whole bulking/cutting side of things, I like to bulk as cleanly as possible. I'm not after getting any bigger I'm relatively happy with my size, just build up my strength a little more and obviously improve the definition and shape of the muscle. I will always feel the need to push myself though, as long as I don't feel I'm overdoing it and my body will tell me, then I don't see any harm with it. Just like cardio, I'll always try and go that little bit faster or try that little bit harder. Thanks for the kind comments, however as you stated it becomes almost like an obsession but the endorphins of getting a good pump at the gym is just so addictive.

I used to avoid weights as I do bulk up quickly, but as a mesomrph that's going to happen. I now love that I muscle up and love to see my definition appearing!
