Where did you get the custom grey from? If its a CSS file, which it surely must be, then copy the code into a text file and save it as ocuk.css.

Then go to OcUK, press F12 and select "Edit site preferences". Go to display tab then in the "My style sheet" box navigate to the css file and choose it. Click OK etc to get back to the site then either Opera refreshes itself or you need to do it but then OcUK should have your custom colour scheme back.

I use it for a few sites to hide bits of the page I don't want, that aren't ads.

As Marc says for custom CSS, but if you want greasemonkey stuff, you want to look into Opera UsesrJS, for instance use the spell checker i've linked to a few times. Its perfect I also like autosizer (which resizes .jpgs and such to fit however you would like them too).

Alex, do you use the Opera email feature? I'm trying to get it to work how I want it with folders on my Gmail for Boat Drinks, Hexus etc so that I can filter emails from those places into their folders. However the filters don't seem to work and the emails intended for folders end up in the main Inbox.

I personally don't see the point in using Opera's email for Gmail webmail, much easier and quicker to just leave gmail open in a locked tab.

I see your point about Gmail. But there is another email account I'd want to check and that doesn't auto login and whilst the web interface is OK I think the Opera mail would be better.

Is there any way to get Opera to inform me of new Gmail messages?

Nope, i either use Digsby or Gmail notifier, or you could connect the Opera mail to Gmail IMAP, it just seems a little over the top for me.

Operas mail client has always seemed functional, but pretty bare to me...

When you say connect Opera mail to Gmail IMAP do you mean adding the Gmail account?

Thanks. I need to think about how I want to manage my email. I have three at the moment but my Uni one will stop soon now I've finished my degree. So I'll have two which can both be accessed through a website. The Gmail interface is pretty decent so that is OK but the Fastmail one isn't as pretty.

So control both through Opera or just access the sites through Opera? The reason for all this thinking is that I'm getting fed up with Thunderbird and I can't see very many reasons to stay with it considering Opera's mail functionality and both email accounts' web interfaces.

Decisions!
