Escorts are technically are paid to just be with you, but i don't think there isn't an escort who would be paid for sex too. That's basically how the skirt around the law and stay "legal" because they don't actually advertise it but its just known... Essentially a call girl, i'm not entirely sure what the difference is.

British law is weird.. IIRC it's not illegal to pay for sex, just illegal to advertise your services.
