Hard drive sizes?
If a 500Gb drive is known as an Arthur (which it is) and a 1Tb drive is known as a Terry (which it is), does that mean the new 1.5Tb drives are known as a Minder?

Isn't it a bit early in the day for you to be exercising the axiom in your sig?

"You thought you had every episode of Dr Who safely saved!! NOT ANY MORE!!! I am such a ****, aren't I?"
That's what it'll say JUST before the drive grenades on you with no prior indication anything was wrong...

Well you live and you learn as they say. Shame they never guaranteed it would be useful trivia that would be made up.

Nah, what happens when a two terry hits the market? Hugh will just become medium sized.

Meh. Four 1.5TB drives in a Drobo. Total useable capacity - ~4.5TB. Now that's terrifying. The price is pretty scary too.

It's scary for me for the wrong reasons. I'm looking at a booking reference for a little EqualLogic box that has 4.8TB capacity. The cost of that compared to a Drobo with similar capcity is very scary.
Apples and Oranges in every other way but capacity, but still.
