Trying to acquire the first one myself. I'm not expecting anything spectacular from the films but I think I'll really like the character.

Watched the first one again last night (I think it was on Channel 5 a few days ago). Looking forward to the next one - it doesn't feel the same as all the other superhero/comic book type movies. I'm not sure if it's the writing, directing, acting, or all three, but it doesn't feel contrived or like the talky bits are just filler leading to the next set piece. Maybe it's because it is actually more comic book compared to the others; it doesn't take itself seriously and as such becomes almost more believeable. Hellboy feels more human than most actual human superheroes.

I recorded the first one the other day when it was on, not got round to watching it yet though. The trailer for the second one looked quite good so figured it's worth a try

Watched the first at 3:30 this morning. Going to see the second tonight.

Looking forward to some silliness.

I enjoyed it.

Very silly in places. Got to say, the price is much better in this occupation than his previous one.

Although - I did see it at a digital cinema... and my feelings towards digital cinema at the moment aren't as positive. Blurry with fast motion and worse than that - could see the resolution wasn't that good at all.

So, film - yes... digital cinema - NO

Yes. It's awesome. At least as good as the first. Guillermo del Toro really knows his stuff and you can tell he's put a lot of love into this project. Johann Krauss is a superb new character as well.

That's odd.. my local in Crawley has been digital for a fair while and the quality is superb.
I'd say you've got a crap cinema!
