That much.. !!!

The Hobbit.. the bloody Hobbit.. You must have had this.. And why did you get the book free 'cos it had no realtionship to the game...

"you're in a room, there are no doors or windows...just walls and a trap door.

"Open Trap door"

"Can not open trap door"

Ehmm

"Please open the trap door"

"Can not open trap door"

"Look east"

"Can not look east"

"Look West"

"Can not look west "

"Some eyes are looking at you".

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I was never a C64 person, but I go even older - my gaming days (limited as they were) started with the Atari 2600. My dad had an Atari ST and my grandparents had some random MSX thingy and a BBC Electron. I went through a ZX81 and a Dragon 32 before getting a PC in 1989. Save a very brief stint with a PSOne (sold) and a Phillips CD-i system it's been all-PC ever since.

If I could remember some of the games I played I might do as you have and go find an emulator. I do occasionally have a brief playabout with Repton (found online) among others.
