Assuming you simply log on and do a quick search for a match type, you're just thrown into a room with up to 12 people in it. I think the host is assigned automatically (probably decided by the server by lowest ping or something like that).

That would be a new experience for me. Most of the time when I play a shooter online it's at least 8 a side

I'm assuming Huddy means the canteen that comes with it It's a flask iirc.

I'm more interested in the MP than the SP for this which is unusual for me. I love CoD4 on the 360 but I can see how it's just more of the same on the PC where it's up against things like BF2 etc.

Oh and the release date is 11th November afaik

My mistake with the release date. Game are quoting 14th November. As well as offering early beta access to the MP: http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?l...neral-_-codwaw

I'm a fan of smaller numbers unless it's a Battlefield type game.
Battlefield: Bad Company is 24 players online and the servers are dedicated, so it's not always p2p.

Perks rumoured:
Quote:
According to PlayStation Universe, the entire list of Call of Duty: World at War perks have leaked online. While this rumored list appears legit enough we haven't been able to confirm it, yet. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare players will recognize such perks as Stopping Power, Extreme Conditioning and the dreaded Martyrdom.

The list also includes vehicle perks and such interesting perks as Bouncing Betty which is said to work the same as the Call of Duty 4 claymore perk and Toss Back which apparently resets the fuse when tossing an enemy grenade back. Call of Duty: World at War hits stores this November. The full rumored perk list can be found after the jump.

Perk 1:
- Special Grenades x3
- Satchel Charge x2
- M9A1 Bazooka x2
- Bomb Squad
- Bouncing Betty x2 (similar to claymores)
- Bandolier
- Primary Grenades x2
- M2 Flamethrower

Perk 2:
- Stopping Power
- Fireworks (explosives cause more damage)
- Flak Jacket (decreases damage taken by explosives)
- Gas Mask
- Juggernaut
- Camouflage
- Sleight of Hand
- Shades (decreases intensity of signal flares)
- Double Tap
- Overkill

Perk 3:
- Deep Impact
- Extreme Conditioning
- Steady Aim
- Toss Back (resets fuse on tossing back enemy grenade)
- Second Chance (ability to revive allies)
- Martyrdom
- Fireproof
- Dead Silence
- Iron Lungs
- Reconnaissance (shows artillery and tanks on map)

Vehicle Perk:
- Water Cooler
- Greased Bearings
- Ordnance Training
- Leadfoot
- Coaxial Machine Gun

What's the expected date for this?
It's becoming an expensive time again.
