I rather like both of these, in fact I choose the first and had a bit say in Aitch getting the second, they were her birthday prezzies from me so I should have some input

The second pair make Aitch 6'! and are very nice

They are more comfortable/stable than you might think due to the platform and the lace up style but they do still feel very high! I'll be taking them for a test trot for a meal out in town next week (for MBs bifday) so I'll get a better idea of what I can wear them for in future
