I think it's an OK follow up to the classic of the first film but only works because of the films which came between it and the original (Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back).

It was a nice piece of closure for the series and managed to take what the first film had and present it in a story-based format.

As a film then I'd give it 6/10, as a tool to make Mrs Dym giggle then I'd give it 8/10
I really enjoyed it. But I'm a Kevin Smith whore.
It finished the Clerks story of very nicely. It did make my friend feel ill though with the donkey scene. It just made me laugh a lot.

Which is why I'm looking forward to Zach and Miri make a *naughty film that may kick off the webfilters*

But tonight, I will be mainly watching:

A Threevening with Kevin Smith - Sold Out. Which just arrived.

5 hours of Kev telling stories. That'll do me.

That is the Carlton Palmer one I was on about mate it is just as fake as the first.
Check out Bernard Mahoneys site for a good read on the subject

Eagle Eye

A film as stupid as it is deceitful in it's initial outline of the plot. It becomes more and more outlandish as the plot 'develops', although I use that word lightly as it doesn't really actually go anywhere.

Journey To The Centre Of The Earth (2008)

A mix of National Treasure meets The Librarian meets Indiana Jones. Utterly predictable but quite enjoyable take on Jules Verne's Classic novel.

OW! I hurt.

Laughed a lot. Shecky is a poor unfortunate dog, Mulder has no control and lots of bum pain...

Loved it - and it was his 37th birthday as well. If only I could have flown across to be there.

Just got back from Burn After Reading

Started slow, but got better. Slightly funny in places, but is a good film showing how quickly people can go barking over one little thing.

Wouldn't pay full price to see it, but £3 was worth it.

Watched Oldboy last night on Film4... Japanese Language film with English Subs. At 2h20 it isnt a short film, but there is plenty of action and interest to keep you hooked for that time.

Weird and dark, but such a good story with some great action sequences... The story itself is a little disturbing, but the fact that you are reading the dialogue really makes some of it sink in more... if that makes sense.

I wouldnt be surprised if it gets the Hollywood make-over, but i fully expect if it does it wont be half as good as this version.

8/10 - its repeated 27th Oct 23.10 Film4, ill be watching it again to hopefully pickup bits i missed first time around, i recommend anyone who hasnt seen it give it a bash.

Saw Burn After Reading earlier today.
Really enjoyable. Not as much depth as previous Coen Brothers films, and probably nothing overly memorable, but still very enjoyable and an entertaining 90mins imo

8/10
