For The Religious People Amongst You.
In the film Raiders of the Lost Ark, Brody tells the two army intelligence guys ...
' The Bible speaks of the Ark levelling mountains and laying waste to entire regions. Any army that carries the Ark before it, is invincible. ' Is this poetic licence or does a particular Book of the Bible tell this ? Ta in advance.

I think it's Old Testament stuff, would need to further investigate to find out exactly where.

I suspect it's massaging things a little.
This might be a reasonable starting point for further research... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ark_of_the_Covenant |

The Ark never did that. It did kill someone that touched it when they shouldn't have.
The army that carried the Ark and went forth to battle in his name, following his word, were reputedly unbeatable. It wouldn't have achieved what the film portrays it to do.
