That was BRILLIANT!!!!

I got a pick that James Hetfield had been using and threw out into the crowd

(at the end they bought out bags of picks and threw them out too but didn't manage to get any of those ones). Was one person back from the rails so about 7-8 foot away from the stage

I have some great photos (as well as a few which I may need some photoshop help with to remove random hands).
Pryo effects and lights were super - the coffin from the cover of Death Magnetic was used and they fitted lights to them and some of them were on pullies so they got lowered and moved about and suchlike.

Support was The Sword who were pretty good but couldn't hear a word of any of the songs, and then Machinehead who were brilliant too

The sword are AWESOME! I saw them at the wedge a few years back.

Machinehead and Metallica are just damn awesome

I don't think I'd rush to see Machinehead again but when I saw metallica I was on a hill at download miles away from the stage so I'd love to get close

Proper jealous still.
