Default Issues after removing NOD32

I've just removed NOD32 (the trail lasted a bit longer than it should of ) after seeing HSBC doing 12months free McAfee and now firefox wont even try to load a page - when restoring a session each tab just opened as blank & didnt try to load. MSN crashes on startup and the McAfee app can't use the network connection

any ideas wtf might be up? IE is working fine, so i'm just a bit unsure of what to do :/

Sounds like NOD took it personal and decided to mess up a few things on its departure.

Do you use System Restore? I'd roll back and try the removal again.

Have you checked if ESET have a specific removal tool like McAfee and Norton. The residual files can sometimes mess up the applications it was integrated with.

If no to those, you may need to completely uninstall MSN, IE and McAfee, restart and do a scandisk to fix any crap, and reinstall them one by one.

There's a simple solution - don't uninstal NOD32 and don't install McAfee.

Haven't had this happen myself, but then I think I've only uninstalled NOD32 once (to upgrade).
