Really?

Haven't got round to watching Wall-e yet, but is it really that good?
It's difficult to say to be honest, i've only seen Wall-e once, but seen Toy Story umpteen times. As a first watch i would say Wall-e is on par with it, though i'm unsure of how rewatchable it is, i'm willing to bet quite a bit.

He was just such a lovable protagonist.

[EDIT] Sorry for the double post D:

Watched Persepolis last night. It is a 96 minute animation released last year with English voices about a girl / woman growing up in Iran from the time of the Shah, through the revolution, the war with Iraq and beyond.

Seems pretty dull, but I would give it 8/10.

Prior to that, I watched Zachariah. A very, very weird 1971 film about two gunfighters who part company and experience surreal visions on their journey through the west. It features Country Joe and the Fish, The James Gang and various other 70s rock luminaries - which is why I watched it.

Somewhat similar to but nowhere near as good as the excellent Easy Rider, but I enjoyed it - for the music

Star Wars - The Clone Wars movie

It's star wars - but for kids.... I liked the clone wars cartoon series. But this is just too childish. However, it does lead into the Clone wars cartoon series which I am enjoying.

It's ok if you are a star wars geek...

6/10

You said thrice nay, but only 2 reasons .
Firstly, he's not a bad actor really, he does comedy, action and drama very well, just watch Six Degree's for example.

Gene Hackman is awesome, but he's been in some stinkers. Royal Tenenbaums I hated for example, so were: Heartbreakers, The Mexican and Target off the top of my head.

He was however in Crimson Tide and Unforgiven, two of the greatest movies ever made. Not bad for someone voted least likely to succeed alongside Dustin Hoffman at school.

Unfortunately, now I have to put my theory to the test and ask THE question.

If you loved unforgiven, where do you stand on "The outlaw Josey Wales"?
A wrong answer may involve me putting a contract on your head.

I was slightly disappointed with Wall-e... it was so hyped up I just thought it was going to be uber mega but it wasn't all that.

Toy Story is just legendary. And not Pixar... but similar elk - Robots. Watched it yester again and I laughed throughout it! I love the whole thought put into it! Genius!

My recent review:

Cabin Fever.

I'm going to put as little effort into this review as possible as it's already wasted a couple of hours of my precious life.

Teenage American Graduates go on holiday to a Cabin situated on the edge of some zaney weird-ass village which is a million miles from anywhere.

Your typical characters: the slut, the stud, the complete knob, the cute sweet hard-to-get-girl, the guy in love with the cute-sweet-hard-to-get-girl but has-never-admitted-it but instead walked-a-round-dribbling-on-her-all-his-life and the gutless moron.

Storyline pretty much equates to: Slut gets out boobs, complete knob acts like a knob and thus gets everyone in trouble, everyone does stupid things, guy in love tries to do the right thing, everyone protests, people go crazy and do the STOOPIDIST of STOOPID of things with STOOPID other non-real-to-life-characters, slut shags boy in love because she wants a shag before she dies, a rabid dog is thrown in, peoples limbs are strewn about with flipflops attached and they all get royally screwed by weird-ass-weirdos.

Chuck a bucket of blood over the above, a baseball bat and some random country bumpkins and there you have it.

I think... I think they try to make it over exaggerated and melodramatic towards the end in a last manic attempt to save the film by turning it in to a spoof horror comedy... and it FAILS!! F-A-I-L!!

I'd rather dump a brick than watch this ever again.

0.5/10 (the 0.5 is for a joke incorporated at the start of the film and the punch line is at the end which made me lol rather loudly)

I'm torn between being sorry that someone else has shared my pain in watching this film and relieved that I can now start a support group knowing that there is another soul who felt the same distress. I've always tried my best to make sure that no-one else watched it by describing it frequently as the worst film I've ever watched with no plot to speak of, no discernable enemy, no suspense and no direction to the killings - sorry I obviously didn't manage to tell you of this and save you the time and money in watching it.

Want to know one of my fave sequences in Toy Story?
When Woody and Buzz are in Pizza Planet, hiding in the cup and the burger carton. As they run, you hear the same sound as if you pull your drinking straw up and down really fast out of a drink/milkshake cup.

Makes me smile every time.

Bad Boys II - actually pretty good. The chase on the elevated road section was spectacular and included some incredible driving and stunts.
