Default Receiving calls from customers.

When people call me regarding PC repairs, they naturally ask me what my rate is. Some are quite surprised in a good way but some immediately panic and say "oh oh I'll call you back!!".. and can't wait to end the call. What? Do they expect me to do it for nothing??

I've had three people do this today alone! I think my pricing is more than competitive.

People are weird at times.

What do you think what’s going on in their heads?

Had this before with my neighbours asking me to do stuff. I give them a rate and they go white mumbling about being neighbours. Pfft neighbour != mug

How much is your hourly rate? I charge my guys out at £49.50, albeit we are doing heating.

Pfft you guys are cheap. I charge £600 per day for 1 days work for a client. Shame that doesn't all go in my pocket

Some people live in the dark ages when it comes to money. Especially old people, they still think they can get their shoes fixed at the cobblers, buy some tongue sandwiches and blue ribbond from the shops, ride the bus home and tip the milkman all for a pound.

My mum and dad used to run a tyre franchise and didn't make too much off of what they sold but people still used to go all funny when they heard the price. Most of the time people wanted high spec tyres but only wanted to pay about £20 for them at most so would get Budgets instead!

WTF it's like the things that keep your car on the road!
