Very odd problem with my 360 :/
Everytime I boot my 360 it refuses to log me in to Live, its set up to log me in but it comes up saying it can't get to to the net. So I turn it off and back on again, using the controller in the same way as the first time and then it works, every time.
I find this very odd indeed. I'm very tempted to move back to a wired conection as I have moved the router now and its close to the 360. I just find it a bit odd that this happens every time now. Anyone heard of anything like this before? MB |

First time I've heard of it. Have you unticked the auto sign in, restart, then tick it again? Don't know if it will help or not.

I'd go with Desmo's suggestion if you haven't already.
Either that or there's some weird interaction between the X-Box and your particular router. Possibly something related to wi-fi security settings, for example. |

Think I'll go up in the loft and grap a patch lead tonight and take the wireless off, maybe take it in to CEX for a trade

Is your router to dish out an IP address via DHCP? I wonder if the first time the xbox is turned on the router dishes out the IP address but not fast enough for live to sign in. By the time you restart the xbox, it now has an IP and signs in fine.
You could either set a static IP address or increase your DHCP lease time to months/years.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

I had the exact same problem using wireless and wired. I found that if I told it to 'test the connection' then all the tests would pass and it would then sign in.
I messed about without any success and then all of a sudden one day it started to work. |
