I quite like Oz, but it's a bit remote... it would have to be a very good reason for me to go there.

Anywhere in and around the Med would make me happy, in particular Cyprus or S.France for an easy "comfort" option.

I could live in Manhattan or San Fran too quite easily, though I'd probably choose San Fran over NY.

I don't see myself staying here for the rest of my life.

I came pretty close to upping sticks for New Zealand after coming back from travelling there for three months, but I think the only place I wanted to be more was back in Bristol. So I stayed.
Oxford's ok, but they have a funny accent here.

I'd like to live in Canada, Vancouver to be exact, although it is a big city it still feels 'nice' and isn't terrible to navigate around although a car is certainly handy. I'm not sure I'd live there permanantly as at some point I'd want to come back to home in Scotland but I can easily see myself spending a decade or two there.

I think I'd quite like New Zealand if I went but it would probably have to be one of the bigger cities, for some reason I'm always more drawn to cities with universities in them, there is something about them that suits me better (and I'm not even thinking about student girls particularly).

I've only spent a day in Vancouver but really liked the place. The only place in Canada I've spend a reasonable amount of time is Toronto which I didn't much like at first but it soon grew on me.

A friend of mine emigrated to Ontario in June so when I go see him and his missus I'll explore a bit more of the Toronto area.

I did also love North Carolina when I was over there. Everyone is so laid back, which suits me perfectly. That and they have Cracker Barrel, which is where I first tried grits and loved them.

Been there four times now with work. Thanks to various redundancies and re-orgs it's highly unlikely I'll go back via work, so it's fairly unlikely I'll go back period, which is a shame. I'm a great fan of the Tar Heel state and even more so of the local delicacies (

You're in a minority then. Most Americans I know don't like grits. Just the name was enough to put me off, but I'm not a fan of porridge either and they're at least distant cousins.
