I didn't get where I am today by remaking old TV classic.

Great. Super.

Not.

Damn you BBC! They clearly failed with original sitcoms e.g. My Family, My Hero, that one with Jasper carror and the disabled indian (that may have been the title for all I am aware) and theres that new one with the Quentin woman from men behaving badly. All televisual excrement! I dont have high hopes for this remake of what was a really good program.

I wouldn't mind watching the originals again. Only thing I can remember is the mother in law

And yes WHY WHY WHY do a remake???!

I'm starting to think I should tape a random selection of BBC productions and pop it in an envelope along with my TV licence requesting a refund.

Did you know that they are also doing a remake of the Karate Kid?

Jackie Chan to play Mr Myagi (SP?)

Jaden Smith (Will Smith's son) To play "Daniel-son!"

Shooting starts early this year apparently....

I hope this isn't the start of a new breed of revival with classic sitcoms. Imagine things like The Young Ones being redone... doesn't bear thinking about.
