Question New Wireless Mouse

I think my Logitech MX700 is finally giving up the ghost. What do people recommend these days?

I replaced my 700 with a 900 then replaced the 900 with an MX518. It's not wireless though.

I use a 518 at work, this is mainly for Dee really, I use the laptops more than anything outside of work

If you can find a Logitech G7 then it's a fantastic mouse, the switchable battery packs are brilliant and even if you're quite a heavy user you should find that the other one has recharged in time. As always though this is no use if you/Dee don't get on with the shape of it.

Looks a similar shape to the 700/900, so I'll have a look around, ta

Actually that's a point, in my post above insert G7 between 900 and 518!

I get through a lot of mouses. The G7 is currently on my desk at work.

Gonna say, you've done well to get through that lot! I've had the MX700 6 years I think.

The problems with both the 700 and 900 were that they stopped charging unless I fiddled around with them onto the stand, I even had one 700 replaced when it was a few months old. The G7 was retired when I started getting tracking issues here but I gave it a good clean and thought I'd try it at work. It works perfectly there so I figured I'd stay as I am.

I don't how the newer ones compare but the MS Wireless Mouse 2.0A (I think) that i've just replaced (with a wired G5) was great as a basic mouse, batteries lasted about 6 months at a time, never had any lag issues etc.

Definitely look at MS, they make some fantastic peripheral hardware.

I agree with divine, Microsoft, for me, make the best peripherals for PC.

(the irony is I'm using a Logitech keyboard and a Logitech MX518 now).
