My mother works for Southdown Housing Association, a non-profit organisation that helps people with learning difficulties, covering everything from 24x7 staffed houses, through to once a week "pop in and see how they're doing" One of their big aims is to try and ensure those they look after are as independent as possible. Some of them formed a band called "Heavy Load" a punk outfit, which has proven to be rather successful, and have had a documentary (rockumentary?) produced about them.

I'm told that it's quite a good watch, and it's on tonight on BBC4 at 10pm
