Of all the whore point games I've played they've all had something to offer from the day or two I've played them. The only one I've genuinely hated was LOST and I'm well documented on that I'm definately planning on getting Cars, Surfs Up and probably Prince Caspian on rental at some point soon as well |

Jumper doesn't take long, which is a good job as you need to complete it twice ( I messed up and actually had to do it thrice), but I thought the combat at least added something a little different.
Surfs Up is actually pretty good, I completed it twice as the achievements never went on my profile for some crazy reason. Cars I couldn't get away with. Not played Prince Caspian. |

I thought Jumper was ok, certainly not the worst game I've played. I had to go through it 3 times as well as I messed up on an achievement on my 2nd playthrough.
Lost I thought wasn't too bad. I've never watched the TV series at all so found the story somewhat interesting (though I'm sure the story in the game is not one that's on TV). I enjoyed Surfs Up too, that was fairly decent for the 4 hours or so that it took to 1k it.

I gave Fear 2 a quick 20min blast this evening on the PC. I am rather impressed in that my old 8800GTS can handle it at full tilt still giving a solid 60fps during action scenes!
It does smack of a console port, however its not that badly done! The use of sound is excellent as per the previous game and there seems to be a lot more interaction with the player than the lights flickering ala Fear 1. Quite impressed with the AI in room sequences. You do genuinely get flanked and held up by cover fire while someone sneaks around. Couple of gripes, due to the port I guess. Once you switch the machine gun to 3-shot burst mode it becomes a lot easier. Could be harping back to my UT days but its very easy to get all three in as head shots. I could clear a room without needing to reload and without "bullet time". I think the firefights are setup for you to go charging in guns blasting. Take a strategical look bearing in mind you are only one guy then it could fall down. The other thing I've noticed is NPC's seem to be four foot wide. They can push you in a direction and you can't get past them, even if they are at the edge of a corridor. I'm glad that we have a sequel to FEAR as I always liked the game. I'll see how I feel after a few hours playing. |

I do fancy Fear 2, I'll get it when it goes cheap. I was actually a fan of the first on on Xbox360, although it's achievement distribution was awful. Sadly the second one has done it again .

Mates on his way over with his game of Rapala Fishing. Gonna give that a try this afternoon Been playing horde this morning to get the first 10 levels on each throwback map done. Was quite a challenge to do 10 on canals with the two of us, fun though

Reminds me, I'll have to organize a 50 tiers of Horde game, still need the achievement as I'm sure several others do too.

I finished Quantum of Solace on 007 this morning and nabbed all the single player achievements. Over all I loved it and while it certainly wasn't that hard there were a few moments that induced a swearathon. Last edited by Aboobie; 15-02-2009 at 14:44. |
