I work for Staples, that sounds like an alright deal as far as our rules go.
Will say though that of all the netbooks they are the "worst" ones - lowest spec and the worst screens. The AAO is a brilliant netbook (my household has two) and I have a Samsung NC10 which rocks. The AAOs run Ubuntu Netbook Remix as does my NC10. All of these benefit massively from RAM upgrades though. |

Ordered an NC10 from Dixons for £288.03 and 2GB RAM from Crucial. I'll of course have to give it a test run when it arrives as I'm tempted to get one myself

Not that it matters now but the Linpus installs on netbooks are very simple and easy, these devices are after all aimed at convenience. It's not convenient if you need to spend a month figuring it out.
On the Aspire you had 4 'sections' (presented on boot as a big menu screen thing) of Internet, Work, Media and something I forget. Then in Internet there was a Browser button which opened firefox for example. All very simple and skinned to resemble XP too. I was actually quite impressed to be fair, though I was more excited with the prospect of putting Windows 7 on it

No idea. I got on a plane in Las Vegas and it was working fine, I got off a plane at Heathrow 16 hours later and it wasn't
It's a work laptop so it does actually get moved around rather than sitting at home so I suspect the wear and tear I put on my machines is much higher than most. Prior to my lenovo I had a Dell D830 which was on it's last legs after a year and prior to that a Dell D520 which was completely ****ed after a year. |

Does anybody have the link to the Asda deal on HUKD? I don't mind if it is marked as expired as it's purely for reference.
