I thought I'd start eating healthy...
Last wednesday I thought I'd start eating healthy and see if I can notice a difference in myself.
What a load of rubbish. A week later a finish work and am walking towards the train station. All of a sudden - BLEEUUURGGHHHHH... all over the platform. Not amused!! Been like it the last few days but felt well enough to work today (note: only had 2 small meals since wednesday). Finished work and my stomach was in agonising pain, so, I thought F it and went to Burger King. I actually feel perfectly fine now

Well good luck. I'm joining you in becoming healthy and lose weight etc. But tbh, you may as well just stay fit and thin. If you can eat unhealthy and still remain fine, then do it for as long as possible!

Why would you want to remain unhealthy for as long as possible? I know it is the easy option but that won't be good for your body!! lol
Surely you want to try and get healthy, but slim and not risk having any problems now or in the future. I am trying to eat healthily and lose some weight I have already noticed a difference in how I feel after eating healthily for 2 weeks |

Sounds like you may of had a bit of a poorly tum... though saying that if it's sudden change in diet, it's a lot for your body to take on and it will have reactions such as headaches, nausea, cravings etc because you have changed what it's used to! It's like people giving up fags... they become moody, irrational, feel sick and horrible. In the long run it's better for them, it's that initial week or two they need to get past to adjust.
Instead of diving in head first and going mad, make some little changes to begin with. Say... cut out crisps one week. Then cut out chocolate/cake/biscuits the next and so on. That way your body won't react in such an adverse manner. Quote:
I haven't had the best eating record in history and due to not eating properly at the beginning of last year (not eating rubbish... just not eating well) I ended up having countless problems towards the end of the year which most probably had something to do with my diet initially (or it didn't help things anyway). It'll only come back and bite you in the bum! Trust me... |

No you haven't don't talk stupid. The only difference you might have is a change in state of mind. You might feel better just because you are happy you are actually sticking to something.

Tinks I'm not suprised you're feeling better already.
Despite Sandeep's obvious scepticism/ignorance, the short term effects of a diet can be very much noticed in a suprisingly short period; Notably with detox, selective fasting and diet cleansing.

Blighter, it might or might not be down to eating more healthily that you were feeling ill but as Pheebs says introducing changes gradually is probably a better solution to give yourself time to adapt and make it more likely that you'll be able to stick to it.

Yeh Tink! No you haven't! What you talking about! I mean, come on lady, you clearly have no idea how YOU feel. Only other people are able to tell you that! Well DUH! A while ago, in two weeks I lost 6lbs from healthy eating and exercising. That's a lot of weight! I felt a sooooo much better, food wise I didn't feel like I needed to eat all the time and yeh, I had a happy bounce in my step I don't know why I'm saying this. You'll probably tell me I didn't feel better and the spring in my step was from walking on grass and not the pavement. Some people make me laugh Reminds me of a time when a chap we knew was talking to us and Picky said "I had horse riding lessons when I was younger" and this guy remarked back "What?! No you didn't!!" (he was quite serious!) lol! |

Actually I didn't have horse riding lessons Pheebs - you have been mistaken. I was told I had never riden a horse before - when I had.. bizzare!
Anyway, I'm now going to consider a little more what I put in my mouth... I'm becomming too much of a gluten... |
