Now that IS good news - I am delighted to hear that the NHS is actually making money now

As a matter of personal interest, what is this "much more effective reliever"?

Yes, with a cap at which point the NHS pays the rest.

Oxis 6 - the active ingredient is Eformoterol.

Wolverhampton is a deprived area.....Burmondsey is a complete toilet.
Ask anyone who has visited both and they'll be fairly clear which is worse.

No legal enforcement, no.
But I'm unaware of any example where their recommendations have been ignored (although you or someone else here is possibly more informed on this than I) and if this is true then my point still stands intact.

Luxury!

Nevertheless I know exactly why she relates happiness and security to money, it's seen as the aspiration to happiness. Win the lottery and your life will be sorted. Be a celebrity, get money, sorted. Why do you think she went on BB in the first place? To win, get money, be a celeb, get more money yadda yadda.

Anyway, are you seriously telling me, that all of her estate, all the money she got from countless "world exclusive" interviews still wasn't enough to "secure" her children. Money doesn't secure anyone anyway, in fact, money has the power to corrupt and destroy, but that's a different debate entirely. She still had to sell, right up until literally her final moments by the look of it. She's even organised for her funeral service to be broadcast on huge plasma screens to the crowds outside. Why? More publicity = more money. The golden Goody rule. It's unwavered, even in death she's the centre of media attention.

My point is now why not let her family, especially her children have just one day of privacy and dignity to say goodbye and have a respectful ceremony? Is having Heat and OK magazine waiting outside to grab comments from them really needed? All for what, a couple more thousand to add to the million(s) already in their names? Like I said, typical Jade Goody. Press mad. Nothing in her life could be done without a camera flash present, her death and funeral were never doing to be immune from that. Even someone who came from a working class background (maybe not identical to Jade's) will surely admit that not everything can be sold, surely, some things are priceless? Jade doesn't believe in that, I'm sure she's made that more than clear during the last few months.

Agreed.
It's what drives Lotto sales, for example.

I don't know if truth be told, and neither do you if you're honest.
What I do know is that fame and fortune are not the only reasons to take part in BB, therefore if some people have other reasons to take part it is perfectly possible that she is one of them.

No. I'm not saying that at all.
What I am suggesting, is that from her perspective.....and I've never seen a more child-like 27 year old.....she may well believe "the more the better".

No, probably not.....but then "our" media has never been famous for its tact.

I'm not sure how you figure this will mean more money for her estate.
Surely all deals will have been done?
I doubt anymore money will be changing hands from this point, and the press are simply doing what they do best. Taking pictures and writing stories that they know will sell.

Well, if by "her life" you mean the last seven years of it, then I agree.
Where we differ Is I see a girl who has done to the media what the media has done to countless individuals in the past. She played them at their own game and made money in the process.
Let's get one thing out in the open. JG is famous because the public want her to be. There's a very good reason I can't buy the Heat magazine iCraig edition.....because other than your friends and family nobody gives a crap.
The Jade-haters really need to accept that first and foremost they're haters of the great British public, as this is where the demand comes from. When you have no demand, you have no need for supply. Basic Economics.
I doubt Jade understood why people were interested in her and why magazines/papers/TV shows were willing to pay good money to feature her, neither can I blame her for cashing in on the fact.

Absolutely true - it is neither Jade Goody's nor Joe Bloggs'fault, just to Jade Goody's very considerable financial advantage and to Joe Bloggs' very considerable disappointment.

Also absolutely true. Added to this, the Great British public tends to have a very ambivalent attitude towards the success of others.

Most people would do just as Jade Goody has done and are only resentful that they haven't had the chance.

Fixed. Much as with the racism issue, I'm not sure we can credit Jade herself with the intelligence necessary to play such a game and win. Max Clifford, on the other hand, is an expert at it. Jade still had to agree to it all, of course, but that just takes us back to the argument about wanting money for money's sake.

Rubbish frankly. That's about as accurate as blindly calling the people saying Goodwin's pension was ridiculous, jealous because they don't earn as much.

Are people who feel prostitution is unacceptable 'jealous' or 'resentful' that they don't get paid for spreading their legs?

It's such a cop-out, why does condemnation have to boil down to resentment or jealousy - can't something be obscene or intolerable simply on its own merits? I wouldn't put myself in the public eye if you paid me a million pounds, nor would I do the thankless job of an MP for all the benefits in the world - the public are f'ing retarded and I'd rather stay well out of their way tbh.

Sure, you wouldn't, but then I'd guess that you (like me) aren't the type to 'prostitute' yourself (not sure that's quite the right word, but I'll let it fly) in front of the masses on Big Brother either. Rest assured that there are countless people who would - which is why there are now so many 'reality' shows, and long queues outside audition venues to get a place in them.
