I knew this thread was somewhere
Thanks to Asda having band in a box uber cheap, I can finally join the RB club Only been wanting it for over a year I rented GH:WT from work for a couple of days while I sourced a copy of RB2. Luckily work had a copy come in which I got for £27 after discount. Definitely in the RB2 > GH:WT camp. I much prefer the layout for the tour. The setlists for GH:WT got irritating for me as I didn't feel like I could drop into it like I can with RB2. Plus the DLC is awesome! I'm very glad I've got plenty of points at the moment as I'm going to need them I've never been brilliant on the guitar but seem to be steadily improving and can hold my own on Medium just about, still need plenty of practice though! I don't like the RB guitar so I'm keeping to the GH wireless guitar. Drums I'm rather noobish with but haven't failed any songs in a while! RB2 seems much more forgiving than GH:WT imo though. Also got my Mum hooked which is excellent! She prefers the guitar, as the drums aren't great for her neck injury, which is fine with me. So yeah, very happy with my purchase

For me it's the best game I've ever played. I've sold so many copies for EA they should pay me to own it. I have people round often for dinner and as I'm in my 30's many of my friends are non gamers and give me a weird look when they see my plastic intruments and gaming room. Especially the wives. I can see the look of childish homo written across their faces
Sometimes it's a fight to get them to try it. Then it's a fight to get them to leave my house. My love affair with gaming since the 360 came out is over. I'm really not interested anymore until the next gen comes out but rockband is the reason I don't sell off what I have.

More players, more fun And yes points are essential - plus there's a huge variety of music to grab from the RB Store Discovered many a band/type of music I'd never have considered Make sure you get the 4 FREE tracks too: Headphones On - Miranda Cosgrove (iirc) Charlene (I'm Right Behind You) - Stephen and the Colberts Still Alive - GlaDOS/Jonathan Coulton Promised Land - Vesuvius They'll keep you busy for a while Ever fancy a game then let me know - if I'm around you'll always find me on MSN

Anyone still playing GH3?
I warn you now I'm only half way through the medium career so I might not be a big challenge. Still trying to teach my little finger to do what's it's told.

Nope. I've not fired up GH3 since finishing it. I do still play GH2 though.

In other news Jen (my wife) has fallen for drumming; last night she told me that it's the best fun she's ever had on the 360. I also mentioned it to my neighbour who now wants a Guitar Hero party. Good stuff |

I just bought aerosmith again, for a just over a tenner I thought it was worth having in my collection and try to finish off the careers. I only bought it the first time for a new les paul.
Trying to find GHWT cheap enough to warrant finishing that career off as well. I recently went back to GH3 and progressed the hard career past the tier I was stuck on and I'm halfway though expert career. After Rockband solos being so much tighter I now find Hopo's so much easier on the GH games. A small part of me wishes the RB solos were as loose. Especially not having a RB guitar for zig zags using the solo buttons.
