As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Accepted Davey, noticed you've been playing Fifa again

Well I got the original gears and dead rising. I've had a quick blast of NFS and Forza as well. This is coming from an avid PC gamer, the PC at the moment doesn't come close to the gameplay. I was getting seriously bored with PC gaming, there was bugger all new coming out worth playing imo. Certainly mouse games like C&C can stay on PC, but those have been dumbed down.

Might be due to a newer box, but this xbox does not sound like a hoover. The controller certainly was intuitive, and I was able to use it fairly quickly without issue. This surprised me as I have two analogue sticks, one d-pad, four buttons, two triggers and two top buttons I'm impressed with the net functionality of the device, especially game downloads. Click, leave and come back later, easy (set the device to power itself off). Not sure on the new dashboard, but it works ok. I played the demo of the new CoD and I want it Still can't hit a barn door as the aiming takes some time getting used to.

A very good investment. Certainly had a go of a few others previously and didn't fancy the games which is why I waited for so long to get one. So pretty much a convert, which I am surprised with. It's clear where the development money is being spent at the moment.

Now get your backsides online so I can beat you all

I've had one for four months and I still can't hit a barn door.

Agree with the rest though. Some games take a while to 'get' the control method with. Others just work. My last console was a PSOne which I owned for all of a month before selling it on. Before that, it was an Atari 2600, so I'm certainly no console gamer.

/minor OT

I have to admit I was a religious PC gamer until the 360 hit....I had an xbox 1 already for my burnout/thps fix but the 360 just dragged me in. I don't think I would have bought 2 (yes two) TV's & untold numbers of games if it didn't

/OT

Will add you now :>

Continuing the OT i too didn't really touch consoles (apart from final fantasies and god of war) until the PS3/360 hit. Main reason for this is online tbh, after experiencing a gaming machine capable of online gaming you just won't accept any less. With consoles now having more games that interest me without compromising via losing online it just became a no brainer.
