There's a 10k near me in 2 weeks time and I think I might just go for it. It's only £8 entry and I'd like to get one under my belt now. It's quite a hilly one and looking at past times I'll be one of the last people to come in, but hey.. someone's got to be last

I did about 28 minutes running today. Not good by anyone elses standards, but considering I was struggling to hit 8 consecutive minutes a week or so ago (I was doing 2 running/2 walking because I'm fine on a treadmill but AWFUL on the road), so I'm quite pleased with that. Only stopped because I had the dog and the field was muddy so I didn't want to go on my ass
Still a long way to go though and 4 weeks to get there :/ I've been offered an incentive to finish under 30 mins so I want to do my best to get it.

Well, I went along to the local running club tonight and had a really good time. They put me with a mid-speed group and they were the perfect pace for me. We set out to do 4-5 miles and ended up doing 6.3, so that's prepped me nicely for my 10k on 7th June. It's just nice to get some variety into my routes and just have someone to run with really. I've brought home a membership form so I can join up. £15 a week, which I don't think is bad at all

Brilliant work Kate!
Went out running tonight... realised that my usual run is 2.5k so technically 4 of those = 10k :/ I reckon I will be able to do the 10k, but will have to build on my stamina a bit more. I think I will just aim at completing it rather than running for a time. BB x |

That was my first aim Bubux and then all of a sudden I had hit my 10k goal before I expected to and had to set myself a new target. I'm absolutely positive you'll be able to ace 10k sooner than you think. The first 10-15mins is hardest and you've already done that bit
