Default DG834G - Wireless stopped working

Came downstairs this morning, turn on laptop, no wireless connection

Connected over ethernet and router seems fine, all settings as they should be. I can't connect on my phone or Piggy's laptop either so it's not a problem on my lappy.

Upgraded the firmware and still no joy. The wireless light is on on the router but it's on solid, not flashing at all.

I've tried turning off all encryption and just generally playing with the settings but nada. Not sure what else I can try and if I can't come up with a solution then it looks like I'll be nipping out later to pick up a new one.

Panic over. After reading around for the problem on the net I came across somebody suggesting to change the channel. Why I didn't think of that I don't know. Anyway, it clicked immediately as we've just had new neighbours move in next door and there's a new wireless network showing in my list. A quick change of channels from 11 to 4 and it's working again

Have been having the same problem here, Phoenix works OK as she's hardwired to my router but iPhone and netbook couldn't connect to the wireless unless I restarted the box...

Noticed that there was a new sky wireless network (unsecured.... n00bs ) around and as sky use netgear routers thought it'd be worth having a go at changing channels...

Working so far, will see if it drops again but hopefully it won't.

Cheers Desmo

We have a similar problem with some of our Finnish neighbours. I don't know what they have done, but we can get their wireless signal in the back garden whereas we can't get our wireless signal unless its in the same room.

Likewise, I changed the channel to 1 and its all good again.

And this morning the wireless wasn't accesible again :/

Time to look into turning my two networks into one network and just using the o2 router for wireless...

*sigh*

Our wireless is playing balls again, i really want a new router, still have "convinced" my flatmates yet though

It just takes a hard reset every other day, which isn't bad but a nightmare when you can' be bothered getting to the router!

Haven't you killed that yet? Firmware flash and pull the power half way through. Bye bye router.

Does that count as criminal damage?
