Buried in my mates garage is his old A reg Splitty, Some of you may remember it from my previous pics/thread.

He's been busy fitting this 1600 lump in it.

With Two of these. Tilt head for effect.

Excuse the phone pics.

He's currently working flat out on it to leave for the Bug jam on Thursday.

He's he modifying the engine? he's he going to try and enter the fast van club. Forget what it's called.

He has talked about the 10 second club is it ?

There is some golden time they try to get there campers under for the Quarter mile, Can't remember what it is exactly though. The engine is tweaked/ported/polished etc & the twin forties are the last addition.
I wished him luck in setting them up by Thursday departure time.

I like splittys. I was going to have one as my first car because you could get a good one for peanuts back then.
