I'd be interested to see how that worked if it was a gun without the game being like Time Crisis.
I suspect it's more likely to just be a 'normal' controller with MW2 branding though.

Considering both CoD and GH are Activision, yup! I think they're getting worse than EA of late.

I was bored so I made a mock up of what I think is a more likely outcome than an actual gun style controller. The twitter doesn't imply a gun at all, just the articles own picture and excitement. I suspect it's probably more likely a custom controller though that will work with PS3 and 360 and be identical on both, hence questions about concave (360 style) or convex (PS3 style).

They are shooting themselves in the foot if any aspect of it is like the PS3 controller in terms of look and feel.
