Watching Ozzie Osborne sing La Bamba is very wrong.

Today would have been an idyllic day of gaming and film watching if it wasn't for the fact that I spent most of it in pain desperately wishing I could walk again even if it meant grocery shopping, but besides that...
Started the day with some G-Force on the 360. It's your regular kids game really but with slightly more substance as at least a few puzzles have made me stop and think. Quite mindless fun and it helps if you like guinea pigs like I do Then I went back to more Fallout 3. Been playing it for the second time in quite large quantities on the PC. Admittedly I have used a couple of cheats to max out my character but I'm enjoying it again Still need to play Mothership Zeta but I'll be doing that on the 360 at some point. After a dose of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, I played some Tales of Vesperia and finally got past a boss I was stuck on. Really enjoying it so far, it's no game of the century or anything, but if you like JRPGs and you're not adverse to the Eternal Sonata/Star Ocean style of combat, this is well worth a look. Also need to crack on with Ashes Cricket 2009 which I've got to review. Initial impressions seem ok, bit of a slow burner but then again the sport is too. Games do go on forever but again, to be expected. I'll be playing more of it tomorrow. Ooh and Streeteh: finally got past that bit in Valkyria Chronicles

Well I found the local gaming scene in brum and played 4 hours of "live" street fighter yesterday. It's great to play socially again, and really puts online gaming to shame.

I'm still working my way through inFamous. It seem's to just go on and on. I'm pretty much done with it, I've had my fill of it but I've put so much time in to it now that I need to complete it. It has never gripped me and I honestly thought it would. I find it pretty dull and generally boring.
Maybe I just have open world game fatigue |

Fallout 3
I have just upgraded to level four after 4 hours of game play. I'm not really liking this to be honest.. I don't know why, maybe it's the pip boy interface and general navigation. It's probably just early days but when you spend 3 hours trying to complete a side quest to deliver a poxy letter to a stranger, I was beginning to wonder what on earth I've got into. I spent ages trying to locate "The family" with little ammo and caps for little reward. I'm now back on the main quest..

The thing that bugs me about Fallout 3 is that if you don't like it you are often made to feel like there's something wrong with your taste. I did give it a proper good try but tbh in terms of gameplay it has far more in common with oblivion, a game i also wasn't fond of, than it does the original Fallout games. But then in storyline and game quests it was also lacking in comparison to its predecessors, every quest had multiple interesting and diverse outcomes, some optional quests were even nearly as big as the main quest in FO3. Everything felt like it had a purpose in the old fallouts, nearly every quest would have a noticeable effect on the storyline or the world in which you exist.
Bah, i dunno, just didn't like it i guess
